The LAACAF hosted events at the Center in February as part of their 2025 Black History Celebration. Events included a quilt exhibit and The SC State Choir.
January 2025 was kicked off with a night of comedy from comedians who also are US Military Vets!
Columbia Children's Theatre returned for a second year to entertain school children as well as community members during two shows of their musical adaptation of "A Christmas Carol", December 13th, 2024!
International Duo Beaux Arts brought the DM Buckner piano and historic Hampton St. Auditoroum to life with their amazing piano virtuosity November 11, 2024.
Grammy nominated group, the WannaBeatles visited the Hampton St. Auditoroium at the Colleton Civic Center November 1st to take the audience on a tour of the Beatles amazing catalog along with other groups from the 60's and 70's! Two Pour Girls provided speciality drinks and sodas.
Chamber Music Charleston brought the Hampton St. Auditorium to life through lively string quartet pieces that spanned time, genres, and continents for a special Sunday, September 22nd performance in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month.
The Colleton Children's Theatre performed "Peter Pan, A Musical Adventure" on Thursday, September 5th, 2024 for 2 school shows with almost 800 kids in attendance. In addition, a weekend of community performances brought in record numbers for the Center with an additional 800 in attendance! Flying away to Neverland with this group was a wonderful experience!
The Hispanic Flamenco Ballet joined us on their east coast tour for a special school performance for schools from the midlands and lowcountry.
Students from the Lowcountry Dance Academy performed the ballet, "Snow White" in conjunction with the WHAM Festival.
Dock St. Theatre's CityStage visited the Center during the WHAM Festival to perform a school show and community show, free of charge. They also visited Bells Elementary and Cottageville Elementary.
Motown came to the stage to celebrate lowcountry bass legend, James Jamerson! The Edisto native was a Motown studio performer on classics such as My Girl and I Heard It Through the Grapevine!
